About the role

We are looking for an anti-fraud expert, with experience working within a commercial setting. You will take the lead in developing and improving our approach and strategies in relation to issues of fraud and wrongdoing connected with our customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in resolving commercial issues associated with potential fraud or wrongdoing in relation to customer accounts
  • Drive improvements of existing fraud detection models and processes
  • Analyse customer data to identify potential fraud or wrongdoing in relation to customer accounts
  • Analyse and record fraud trends and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Anticipate challenges and make recommendations to enhance our fraud protection.
  • Engage with the legal team to take forward individual cases for recovery action
  • Engaging with external agencies such as the Insolvency Service
  • Producing detailed MI Reporting
  • Working directly with Legal and Collections teams
  • Liaising with external legal service providers
  • Reporting and working directly with the General Counsel and Head of Collections
  • Working continuously to business KPIs and agreed targets

Key Skills & Experience

  • An understanding of anti-fraud controls and mitigating operational fraud risk
  • Experienced in fraud investigation or a professional qualification in accountancy, law or insolvency practice
  • Demonstrable experience in working with large data and identifying trends or queries
  • Strong investigatory skills and an aptitude for problem solving
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
