The role holder would work with our Gentrack Velocity environment to deliver the best software solutions to our innovative and industry-leading company. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a genuine interest in technology and a passion to deliver cutting edge products. The role would suit an experienced IT Application or Service Delivery Lead looking for a new challenge and an opportunity to further advance their skills and career in a great working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service to all operational teams around Velocity

  • Lead operational progress calls with the business teams
  • Manage the communication to the business stakeholders for all incidents, maintenance and enhancement activity
  • Be the point of escalation for any key business or vendor issues
  • Build and maintain a service catalogue of Velocity related services
  • Build and maintain relationships with all business stakeholders

Responsibility for Incident and exception management (Velocity) and prioritisation and scheduling of new work including RfC’s

  • Manage all workloads within the agreed SLA’s and business commitments
  • Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for the product based on logged incidents, support tickets and approved RfC’s
  • Work with Gentrack on the Sprint Planning activity to ensure appropriate prioritisation is given to the Sprint cycles
  • Manage the daily Scrum calls with Gentrack to ensure delivery and priority is managed in line with business needs
  • Manage the Maintenance Cycle of Velocity in line with other changes and outages that are planned
  • Manage the emergency incident process

Operational and tactical management

  • Work with the Gentrack Success Manager on an operational and tactical basis
  • Work with the IT management team on tactical initiatives to improve business drivers
  • Provide weekly and monthly Velocity status reporting to the IT management team
  • Support the Monthly Account Service review with Gentrack
  • Engage with external Velocity users and help develop ideas that would benefit Castle Water
  • Implement a continuous improvement capability within the operational team

People responsibility

  • Manage the IT Business Leads to support their respective delivery tasks of their business functions and support the SLA’s
  • Full people responsibility for this Velocity support team

Key Skills & Experience

  • Previous working experience as Application Delivery Lead, Service Deliver, Product Owner or similar role
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant field is desirable
  • Experience with billing systems would be very advantageous
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Excellent management, organisational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Great attention to details
  • Knowledge of Agile process and principles desirable
