About the role

GP Strategies are delighted to be supporting Castle Water, the UK’s leading independent water retailer, with the recruitment and training of Business Administration Modern Apprentices. Castle Water are a market leading business who supply water services to hundreds of thousands of businesses, charities and public bodies throughout England and Scotland.

This is a fantastic opportunity for confident individuals with excellent organisation and communication skills who are looking to kick-start their career within a growing business.

The Business Administration Modern Apprentices will learn about the daily operations of the business and then play a key part in delivering effective support to the customer service and administrative functions.

We offer a hybrid working model where most roles can be undertaken through a combination of home and office working


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service to our customers, using appropriate channels and internal systems such as phone, email, and webchat
  • Build rapport, identify customer needs quickly, efficiently, and proactively to deliver the right solution in the first instance
  • Liaise with our water industry wholesalers on behalf of our customers
  • Ensure all internal systems are updated and maintained with accurate and up-to-date information
  • Responding to and managing customer enquiries
  • Assistance with paperwork, document creation and other ad-hoc duties
  • General administration/back-office duties – filing, photocopying and scanning

What will I learn?

As well as entering full-time employment with an established employer, you will be given the chance to earn as you learn. Fully funded for those aged 16 – 24, you will be supported through a Modern Apprenticeship in Customer Service by GP Strategies. Funding is also available for candidates up to the age of 29 who have care or disability experience.

This is a 12-month programme which enables you to learn and develop new skills while gaining vital work experience. This is an ideal opportunity for recent school and college leavers who are looking to kick-start their careers.


What qualification or qualities are required?

You’ll have a head start in this vacancy if you’ve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. We’ll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement.

We are looking to hear from confident applicants who are enthusiastic, motivated, and hardworking. Due to the nature of the roles available, candidates must have a positive approach to customer service and be able to deal with customers in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner.
