Castle Water has confirmed it has signed pro-strongman and World’s Strongest Man finalist, Tom Stoltman. Crowned Scotland’s Strongest Man in 2018, Tom went on to represent Great Britain in the 2019 World’s Strongest Man Finals in Florida in June placing fifth and beating four-time champion Brian Shaw. In the lead up to the World’s, he finished third in Britain’s Strongest Man and fourth in Europe’s Strongest Man competitions.
Standing 6’8” tall and weighing in at 342lbs, Tom has been dubbed ‘The Albatross’ due to his massive 6’9” arm span. Aged just 25, Tom is a relative youngster in strongman terms but is already considered by many in the sport as a real contender for the World’s Strongest Man.
From Alness in the Scottish Highlands, Tom’s passion is palpable:
“Determined is an understatement. Having come close this year, nothing will stop me from becoming the World’s Strongest Man – and the first Scot to earn the title. I’ve been doing Strongman since I was 17 years old and have loved every minute. I really enjoy seeing my hard work paying off. In my career so far, I’ve had several major wins and I achieve consistently high rankings. Placing fifth in the World’s Strongest Man 2019 competition was awesome, but I will beat this. With Castle Water’s support, reaching my goal of being the world’s number one becomes even closer.”
“Tom is an extraordinary strength athlete who creates enormous excitement with his competition performance, while at the same time connecting with strongman fans everywhere. He is the epitome of Castle Water; young, strong, easy to work with and determined to achieve his ultimate best. His drive and passion to succeed is inspirational, not just for our employees but for anyone looking to succeed in business and life in general.”Castle Water CEO, John Reynolds OBE
