Christmas Jumper Day is on Friday 11th December
We are very proud of our partnership with Save the Children, and for the past four years, our employees have been channelling their inner cheesiness in order to raise money for Christmas Jumper Day.
At Castle Water, we recognise that this year, more than ever, fundraising is hugely important. Many charities have lost huge amounts of funding because of COVID-19 and lockdown, so it’s not only important to join in with the fun this Christmas Jumper Day, it’s also important to get others involved too and donate to help raise as much money as you can.
Even though most of us are working from home, the Castle Water team are still taking part in this year’s Christmas Jumper Day, as we’ve found ways to continue with our usual fundraising activities, virtually. Christmas jumpers are made to be worn, so there’s no way we’re keeping ours hidden in the back of the wardrobe just because we’re not all together in the office!
Remote fundraising
This year, we’ve come up with a way of continuing our fundraising traditions, even though we’re working remotely. We’re holding our usual Castle Water team competition to find the best Christmas Jumper by asking staff to send in photos of themselves, their family and even their pets decked out in festive gear. Everyone who enters donates to Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. Your business can help to raise money by getting involved too! This Christmas Jumper Day get the whole team to pull on their Christmas jumpers and donate £2 to Christmas Jumper Day by texting ‘TEAMCASTLEW’ to ‘70050*, or donate any amount using our JustGiving link.
Even if you don’t have a Christmas jumper… it doesn’t matter! It’s easy to jazz up a plain jumper with tinsel and baubles - in fact, click here to watch a how-to tutorial from Coach Christmas himself! It’s for a great cause and a great giggle too, and we encourage everyone to join in.
Judge our Bake Off on Instagram
We’ve also found a way of keeping our Christmas Jumper Day Bake Off traditions alive too this year. To help raise even more money for Christmas Jumper day, we’ve set our team a challenge to create their very own Showstopper with the theme ‘Christmas Movies’. Entrants need to bake their Christmas Movie inspired Showstopper, send us a photo of their creation, and donate to Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day. The winner will be judged by YOU!

Voting will open from 11am and close at 3pm on Christmas Jumper Day, Friday 11th December. We’ll be raising even more money by holding festive themed team quizzes and sweepstakes for our team throughout the day on Christmas Jumper Day, hosted by our Management Team.

Christmas Jumper Day is a fun way to engage with your staff even though you may not have seen them in person for ages. It’s also a great excuse to get everyone to let their hair down a little, while doing good for others too. Christmas Jumper Day is a great way to add some festive fun to your business and engage with your team. Donations will go towards making sure children in the most remote parts of the world have access to food, clean water, health care, and education so that they can change the world! Donations will also be used to help provide essential household items and learning resources, such as toys and books for struggling families here in the UK.
