What we can do to help

In these situations, we’ll work on your behalf to investigate this with the owner of the meter (known as a Wholesaler or Network Operator e.g. Thames Water) and they will confirm the current known network arrangement. If your claim differs to the last known arrangement, they may further investigate. This service is known as a ‘Meter Supply verification request’ and can sometimes involve a site visit.

You can request this service in any instance where you believe one or more of the following is taking place

  1. If your property has merged or split with neighbouring premises
  2. If the meter within your premises differs to the one we have registered
  3. If you think this meter registered does not serve the address listed, whether by removal, replacement or otherwise

Instances where this service may not be relevant to your query

  1. If you believe any specific meter information (such as digits, serial or model) may be registered incorrectly. Please complete a Meter Verification Form
