Water market opens for businesses in London and the Thames Valley

From April 2017, the English non-domestic water market opens to competition.

This means that you can choose your licenced water and wastewater retailer.

From 1 April, Castle Water will supply your water services including meter reading, billing and account management.

Castle Water is the leading independent water retailer in the UK. We supply hundreds of thousands of businesses, charities and public bodies throughout England and Scotland. Learn more about us here.

We provide immediate benefits to customers. For example, our services can be tailored to specific companies and sectors, while water bills across England and Scotland can be consolidated.

Our Guarantee

  • Same water – there will be no change to your water supply and waste treatment
  • This change will not increase your water charges
  • Pay simply with monthly direct debit – covered by the Direct Debit guarantee
  • Extended customer service hours – Mon to Fri, from 8am to 6pm
  • All our customer services are UK based – we don’t use third-party call centres

You can view Castle Water’s Terms and Conditions and Scheme of Charges on our website. Your bill will never be higher than the default charges set by Ofwat.

Paying your bill

Full details of how to pay are listed on our website. If you already pay by Direct Debit, no action is required. You do not need to complete a new Direct Debit and you continue to enjoy the benefits of the Direct Debit Guarantee.

Paying by Direct Debit is easy. Spreading payments evenly over the year reduces costs and can help manage your cashflow. To set up a new Direct Debit agreement, simply download and complete the mandate supplied on our website, and return this to us.

If you pay your invoice by other electronic means, for example by BACS, you will need Castle Water’s new bank details: Sort Code: 20-00-00 Account Number: 93237648

You can also pay your bill online at www.castlewater.co.uk/paybill

Meter Reading

Where you have a meter, your meter reading schedule will not change, and your meter reader will carry ID. You can also submit your meter reading online.

In an emergency

You can report an emergency or disruption to your supply or water quality to Castle Water during office hours. Call 01250 718700. Your local wholesaler, Thames Water, continues to be responsible for your water supply network, meter(s) and waste collection. Thames Water provides a 24-hour emergency service on 0800 316 9800. Emergency contacts are listed on our website. You can also keep up to date with wholesaler incidents such as mains burst and outages on our Wholesaler Alerts page.
