How can the water sector and its investors demonstrate leadership on social purpose, while increasing the value delivered to customers, society and the environment?

Castle Water is delighted to sponsor the 2019 Social Contract Summit on Tuesday 5 November at Central Hall, London. Hosted by Indepen and The Water Report, this ‘Value for All’ event will bring together senior leaders and decision makers from across the water sector to address this crucial question and others.

Chaired by Angela Smith MP, of the All Party Parliamentary Water Group, the event marks the 30th anniversary of water privatisation and will consider what needs to be done to ‘reset’ the industry to deliver sustainable public value for the economy, the environment and society, now and possibly for the next thirty years.

Castle Water CEO, John Reynolds OBE, will lead the discussion relating to the role of investors in the social contract and will be joined by Bill Seddon, former Chief Executive of the Central Finance Board of the Methodist Church, and Bill Galvin, Chief Executive of Universities Superannuation Scheme.

This event follows last year’s ‘Defining the Social Contract Summit’, which brought together more than 100 industry leaders with regulators, politicians, investors and those representing social and environmental interests to explore and define the ‘social contract’ between investors and companies delivering essential services and customers.
