Local businesses came out in their hundreds to network with exhibitors and other attendees at the Brighton Business Expo on Thursday, 3 October. The free-to-attend event saw businesses mingling at the breakfast club, an inspiring talk from keynote speaker and Olympic gold medal winner, Sally Gunnell OBE and lots of water efficiency advice provided by Castle Water experts.
Representatives from Castle Water were pleased to hear of many expo visitors recognising the Castle Water brand, with lots of them looking to speak with water expert advisors on the day. The Castle Water team helped with 'quick wins' to reduce water usage up to larger-scale water efficiency advice. Many appointments were also made to meet with businesses in the area to discuss switching their supplies to Castle Water.
Tamzin Hall, Castle Water's Head of Strategic Partnerships said:
Our team present at the expo spoke with many businesses throughout the day. We were delighted to hear frequent mention of Castle Water with visitors recognising us from our sponsorship of the expo in 2018, our advertising in local newspapers and our presence on social media in the lead up to the event. I am looking forward to developing relationships with these businesses to see how I can help their business's water needs.
After a successful event last year, Castle Water was quick to agree to a headline sponsorship of the expo for the second year running.
Brighton Business Expo Organiser, Mike Monk said of the event:
This year's Brighton Business Expo was the most successful to date. Together with Castle Water, our headline sponsor, we attracted a fantastic response from visitors. Positive comments are still coming through a week later. Exhibitors are already asking if they can book again for next year - something that has not happened so soon after the event before. I understand that some exhibitors secured substantial business as well as good leads. That is what it is all about and, thanks to Castle Water, we were able to give them the platform necessary to reach the right people.
The scale of the event was made very apparent when, before the expo doors had even opened at 10am, #BrightonExpo began trending on twitter in the UK.
The buzz of the event spanned the course of the day, starting with the opening from Deputy Mayor, Alan Robins:
The business expo is the biggest networking event locally and the place to do business. You can never underestimate the power of networking, exchanging ideas and learning from each other.
The event ended with a champagne giveaway from Castle Water to a very lucky winner.
