Castle Water employees raise £1,089 for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day

For the second year running, Castle Water helped to ‘make the world better with a sweater’ when employees pulled on their most festive knitwear to support Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day, on Friday 14 December 2018.

As partners of Save the Children, Castle Water supports the charity through various fundraising campaigns through-out the year including Christmas Jumper Day.

Castle Water employees donated £2 to sport a Christmas jumper for the day and hosted fund raising activities including a bake sale and raffle. Last year, Castle Water raised just over £1,000.00 for the charity and have done even better in 2018, raising a total of £1,089.00.

All money raised from Christmas Jumper Day will go towards helping children in the UK and around the world to build a better future. Donations will help to pay for a child to attend primary school, fund a healthcare worker who could save a child’s life, or pay for inspirational teachers to provide a child with an education that will mean brighter future. Christmas Jumper Day is a great and fun way to solve some very serious issues!

John Reynolds OBE, Castle Water’s CEO, explains:

Castle Water is pleased to partner with Save the Children which works in more than 120 countries to save children’s lives, fight for their rights and help them fulfil their potential. On Friday 14 December, our employees took part in Christmas Jumper Day and this Christmas, Castle Water will donate £100 when a customer applies online to pay their bills by Direct Debit.
