Castle Water is delighted to confirm that we have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Change or Transformation’ category at the upcoming UK Business Awards 2019.

Castle Water entered the water retail market to act as an independent company that could challenge lacklustre service in the industry and truly champion the customer experience. In just five years, Castle Water has emerged as one of the UK’s fastest growing contemporary utilities, generating £440 million in the past year through a targeted acquisition strategy underpinned by a strong ethical purpose.

In delivering innovative, new benefits for customers, Castle Water now:

  • Services over 560,000 supply points in the UK, around 20% of the market
  • Has saved customers in England over £20 million since April 2017
  • Been appointed to the Crown Commercial Services framework worth an estimated £500 million to become the largest supplier to the public sector in England
  • Answers calls on average within 33 seconds based on March 2019 figures
  • Has an average customer star rating of 4.7 out of 5 at August 2019 – and has received more 5-star Trustpilot reviews than all water retailers combined.
  • Makes a serious commitment to the environment and communities both at home and abroad through an ambitious CSR programme focused on inclusion, diversity, health, education and employment.

Working in partnership, Castle Water has, for example, committed £450,000 to Save the Children’s Emergency Fund to give children caught up in emergencies access to safe, clean drinking water when they need it most. Castle Water CEO, John Reynolds OBE, said:

“I’m delighted that Castle Water has been shortlisted for the prestigious UKBA’19 Business Awards. This pays testament to the hard work of everyone at the company and recognises the innovative approach we take when challenging traditional utilities in favour of fair prices, great customer experience and the opportunity to do our bit for our communities and the environment.”
