Castle Water is offering 10 successful candidates a fantastic opportunity to take up a Customer Service Apprenticeship. The Modern Apprenticeship programme, administered through YouTrain, will fund young people aged 16-24 to allow them to earn while they learn.

Starting in September, the apprenticeships will be based at Castle Water’s offices in Blairgowrie. The full-time positions will last for one to two years and give the trainees the opportunity to learn valuable, transferable business administration and customer service skills.

Funded for those aged 16-24, the apprentices will undertake a Business Administration Modern Apprenticeship programme designed to develop skills and knowledge while gaining experience within a fast-paced business environment.

Established in 2006, YouTrain Ltd, a division of GP Strategies, has extensive experience in delivering Modern Apprenticeship programmes. They offer the young workforce in Scotland fantastic opportunities for learning on the job.

The apprenticeships will give the successful candidates a great start to a rewarding career, with the potential for further career opportunities throughout the business.

Employment and the education of young people is an important focus for Castle Water. The company also works closely with Developing Young Workforce (DYW), a seven-year government program that aims to better prepare school children and young people for the world of work.

Through DYW, Castle Water works in partnership with local schools, colleges and universities to provide workplace insights, work experience and graduate training opportunities, which includes the Career Ready programme.
