Utility Week Live has named Castle Water Chief Executive, John Reynolds OBE, as one of the industry’s top ten transformational leaders, based on a poll of utility executives. Senior industry professionals, primarily from UK gas, water, and electricity utility companies, were asked in late 2016 who they considered to be directing positive change.

Embracing innovation, Reynolds has driven the rapid expansion of Castle Water from a new entrant in the Scottish water retail sector to become one of the two largest business water retailers. As Director of the market operator, MOSL, Reynolds also continues to help drive significant change in the way the wider water retail market operates.

“Utilities are in a moment of transformation, with political upheaval and regulatory change providing a backdrop to the day-to-day impacts of more extreme weather patterns and new models of consumer demand and consumption. Many within the industry are rising to the challenge magnificently, with outstanding examples of innovation and leadership across the UK. Utility Week Live asked audiences to vote for the top ten individuals and technologies transforming UK utilities and we were delighted with the response. We now look forward to hearing from John and the other leaders at the NEC in Birmingham on 23 and 24 May 2017.”
