If we’ve written to you at an address you are occupying and you have not recently switched to an alternative Water Retailer, you are a customer of Castle Water Limited under a deemed contract governed by our Scheme of Terms and Conditions (available here). We are seeking payment from you in respect of the services we supply to your address. The Occupier of the premises is liable for water and/or wastewater charges under the Water Industry Act 1991.
Ofwat allowed a period of reduced charges for businesses closed due to Covid-19 between 16 March and 31 July 2020. We know most of our customers have been affected by Covid-19, so we will automatically apply the appropriate discount for this period when we issue your first bill. You don’t need to do anything in order to benefit from the reduction in fixed charges for this period and it will appear as an adjustment on your bill.
