At Castle Water, we offer a wide and varied range of training opportunities to our employees. From practical skills courses, to professional qualifications and MBA Essentials courses, we are always identifying new training opportunities to develop our employees to ensure our customers receive the best service.
We also employ Customer Service, Business Administration and IT Modern apprentices.
Fully funded for those aged 16-24, candidates undertake a Modern Apprenticeship leading to the achievement of a nationally recognised SVQ.
At Castle Water, we take a collaborative approach to working, so our Apprentices are often given the opportunity to rotate around departments, allowing them to improve their business knowledge and skillset while widening their experience.
We are delighted to announce that Heather Sands and Kerris Speirs have successfully completed their Modern Apprenticeships at Castle Water.
Heather and Kerris started their Apprenticeships on the 6th January, 2020. Working within the Customer Service team, Heather and Kerris have experienced a wide range of duties throughout the 12-month programme, including our customer verification process to ensure our records are as up to date as possible, and providing customers with a high quality of service while assisting with any queries they may have. Heather and Kerris also gained valuable insight into some of our internal projects within the Customer Service team, taking supportive roles to assist with workload.
Ashleigh Watson, Customer Service Team Leader for Castle Water, has been providing support and mentorship to both Heather and Kerris throughout their Apprenticeships. Delighted with their progression, Ashleigh commented, “Kerris & Heather have both done a fantastic job in completing their Apprenticeships and have become an integral part of our Customer Services team. They have put in a huge effort in their own development, and I’ve noticed significant improvement in their confidence and knowledge since beginning their career with Castle Water. I look forward to seeing their development and potential in the future. Well done again!”
We are proud of our track record with Apprentices: 95% of our Apprentices remain in the business post-qualification, and in September 2020 we took on a further 10 Modern Apprentices, all of whom are working well towards their qualification. We are delighted that Heather and Kerris have accepted permanent positions at Castle Water, and will continue their careers as Customer Service Advisors, providing our customers with the best possible service.
