Payment Advisor

We are looking for a Payment Advisor to work in our Payments Team, part of our busy Payment division. A high level of numeracy, as well as excellent written and spoken communication is required.

The Payment Advisor role is central to our activities and provide an opportunity to use a range of relevant skills. As a Payment Advisor, you’ll report directly to the Payment Manager and play an integral role in our dynamic SME Billing and Payments team.   • Responsible for processing and applying payments to customers’ accounts.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to our business water customers
  • Respond to payment and billing queries
  • Setting up Direct Debits
  • Reviewing and recalculating Direct Debit arrangements
  • Work with all business areas to resolve problems
  • Work collaboratively with your team and the wider business to improve business processes
  • Manage workload effectively ensuring all tasks are completed within given timescales
  • Take ownership of customer queries and resolve in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate
  • We adhere strictly to company guidelines regarding data protection and regulatory compliance
  • Enjoys problem solving and resolving complex issues
  • Confident in your skills and understanding
  • Works fast and accurate
  • Experience of office life, probably in an admin role
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Confident in addressing all aspects of non-escalated customer inquiries, including payment allocation and Direct Debit queries
  • Highly organised, reliable, and flexible with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work well both collaboratively and autonomously
  • Not fazed by a high pressure, fast paced environment, or by working to tight deadlines and at short notice
  • Able to communicate with all levels of employees throughout the company
