Return to Sewer (RTS) allowance pertains to the amount of water consumed that is assumed to be returned to the sewerage system. For billing purposes, it is the volume of wastewater you’re charged for as a percentage of water recorded by your meter. By default, this stands at 95% in Scotland. However, based on recent modifications, this might not be the most cost-efficient rate for you.
