In August of this year, Thames Water announced that they were enforcing a Temporary Usage Ban (TUB), commonly known as a hosepipe ban. The TUB applied to all customers whom Thames Water supply water to, even if they were not being billed directly by Thames Water.
Thames Water have announced that from 1pm, 22 November 2022, all restrictions on water use in the supply area will be lifted.
Areas that were affected by the TUB are shown on the map below:
Thanks to the efforts of Thames Water’s customers, and the above average rainfall since the beginning of September, the water resources in their reservoirs and groundwater have recovered more quickly than expected.
Thames Water are ramping up their efforts to tackle and reduce leakage and are still encouraging business customers to use water wisely.
