Following the switch to Castle Water, Procure North Yorkshire has benefitted not just from highly competitive water rates, but responsive service from Castle Water’s dedicated Public Sector team.

Scarborough Borough Council work in partnership with Selby District Council and Ryedale District Council for procurement activity via Procure North Yorkshire. The partnership has developed a strategic and collaborative public procurement programme. This enables the three councils to pool their annual budgets to buy the supplies, services and other works needed to deliver services to the public. Combining their annual spend in this way has a positive impact on performance and the councils’ ability to provide greater value for money.

North Yorkshire

“The switch to Castle Water was efficient and well communicated. All-round customer service has been excellent. Communication is easy and we are well looked after by the Castle Water team.” –
Dale Casson, Senior Procurement Officer, Procure North Yorkshire

In November 2017, Castle Water achieved recommended supplier status in the first aggregated further competition, enabling participating public sector customers in England to access the Crown Commercial Service, (CCS), framework for the provision of water and wastewater services. The framework allows public sector customers in England to switch to a single retail provider for their billing and account management services and secure their retail costs for 2-3 years.

Having switched to Castle Water through the framework, the partnership has benefited from competitive water rates, an experienced Commercial Relationship Manager, highly-rated customer support with experience to advise on a huge range of value-added services to help them get the most from their water services.
