Castle Water has several opportunities for those enthusiastic to learn about the Water Industry and keen to work in our exciting Wholesale and Markets team.

We’re only looking for the best people to join our tight-knit team and contribute to its success.  Strategically important and central to the success of the business, this unique role is varied and offers plenty of opportunity for personal development and achievement.

We are a back-office team who ensure Castle Water get the best service from our wholesalers, so we can pass on the benefits to our customers. We work with both data and regulatory documents to unravel more complex cases, ensuring the right outcome for our customers. We delve into Market Codes, unpick complex cases, research and investigate the root cause of an issue to ensure we are billing on accurate data.

The role would particularly suit Graduates who are enthusiastic, keen to forge a career and who have strong bent towards problem solving and investigation.  Up for a challenge and with a questioning mind, you shouldn’t be phased by new concepts, complexity, or detail.  We need someone who is a team player, but also a self-starter who can work independently without close supervision.

This is a permanent opportunity with an immediate start date.  We offer:

  • No shift work, Monday – Friday 9-5 (with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Hybrid working Office/Home with a general split of 3/2 days (where employees prefer to be in the office full-time that can also be accommodated)

We are looking for someone who:

  • A good first degree (or equivalent) is preferred or with up to 2 years’ experience – degree discipline is less important than analytical capability.
  • Has great attention to detail.
  • Possesses a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic IT navigation skills.
  • Has the confidence to challenge data as appropriate
  • Is customer focused.
  • Enjoys investigative work and has an ability to problem solve.
  • Works well both on their own and as part of a team; cases will require them to work independently, but individuals must have the ability to communicate the more complex cases effectively to the wider team.
  • Can take an organised, methodical approach to get to the root of a complex issue.
  • Highly organised and confident at self-managing diary and workload
  • Is enthusiastic about learning and self-development.
  • Can prepare professional documentation to a high level.
  • Likes problem solving, is enthused by investigative work – then a role within our Wholesale & Market team is for you.
