To request a new Online Monthly Pay As You Go account, please follow the steps provided below:
You can submit meter readings quickly and easily online within MyAccount. If you haven't already got a MyAccount, you can register automatically today.
If you request that we read your meter for you then this may incur an additional cost and may also be subject to VAT. Please see further details under ‘Request a Castle Water meter reading’ below.
As an Online Monthly Pay As You Go customer, you can request that we take a meter reading for you. Please note, this service does incur a fee depending on which wholesale area your premises is located in.

Castle Water will continue to read your meter regularly and we will only charge you for meter readings you request in addition to our routine reads (normally taken every six months).
We must invoice you every month. If you do not submit a monthly read, we will use an estimated read based on the previous usage. You must pay this bill within 14 days.
We have developed Monthly Online PAYG to make sure that you pay only for the water and wastewater recorded on your meter and to minimise the risk of any over- or under-estimation if your consumption fluctuates. Each month’s bill will be calculated using the meter readings you provide.
Depending on when you submit your monthly meter read and the volume of water you use, estimated meter readings may still appear on your bills. For example, if you are using 2m3 water per day on average and you submit a reading of 2,500 on 28 October, when we calculate your monthly bill for October, we will use the reading of 2,500 and an estimated reading of 2,506 for 31 October 2021. If we ever over- or under-estimate consumption, we will adjust for this on your next bill.
With an Online Monthly Pay As You Go account, the price you pay for your water and wastewater services will be no higher than the default charges set by Ofwat. You can find the price that relates to your premises in the relevant Scheme of Charges.
Online Monthly Pay As You Go invoices must be paid within 14 days by Direct Debit.
If you miss a payment, we will send you a reminder. This must be paid within 7 days.
If you fail to pay the outstanding amount within 7 days, we will ask you to pay a security deposit to cover your payment obligations to us. The deposit amount will be based on your estimated six-months consumption costs.
If you do not pay your reminder invoice and / or security deposit within 14 days of our request, you will no longer be eligible for our Online Monthly Pay As You Go scheme. We will then continue to invoice you as per our standard billing arrangements.
