shaking handsCastle Water and NFU Scotland deal marks 5 years of significant savings for farmers

Affinity partnership renewal heralds more preferential rates for farming sector

Castle Water, the UK’s leading independent water supplier, has renewed its affinity partnership with NFU Scotland in a deal that secures preferential rates for NFUS members for the fifth consecutive year.

NFUS members can expect to save up to 22% on their water bills when signing up to the heavily discounted three-year deal. Savings could potentially be higher depending on the customer’s mix of water, waste and drainage requirements.

Castle Water CEO, John Reynolds OBE, said: “We’re delighted to extend our affinity partnership with NFU Scotland and deliver very worthwhile savings for members and the farming community in Scotland.

“Castle Water provides specialist support and also operates a free AMR study where eligible farms can install AMR technology to give access to real-time meter readings. The data gathered allows farm managers to monitor water consumption and identify leaks and other potential water waste issues. This in turn helps these vital rural businesses improve water efficiency, save money and, ultimately, increase economic and environmental sustainability for the farming sector.”

David Lewington, Sales & Marketing Director for NFU Scotland, said: “Rising business costs remain a big concern for many farmers and crofters across Scotland. Securing the right utility services at the right price can make for a big financial saving.

“Whether located in the Scottish borders or the most northerly tip of Shetland, I encourage every member to consider the savings on offer from Castle Water. Switching is surprisingly simple; accept Castle Water’s quote, and they’ll handle everything for you. There are no changes to meters or pipes, and no difference to water supply or quality. Additionally, free AMR audits mean that Castle Water represents a great deal for NFUS members.”
