Castle collects Courier Country’s most prestigious award following success in the Business Growth category while John Reynolds OBE, is named Entrepreneur of the Year.
Castle Water has scooped up three awards at the prestigious Courier Business Awards. The company has been recognised for its extraordinary growth which has taken it from start-up business to a multi-million-pound utility company within four years.
Based in Blairgowrie, Castle Water’s successful expansion followed the deregulation of the business water market in England. The company now supplies about 20% of all business in the UK.
As well as receiving the coveted ‘Business of the Year’ award, the company, which provides water to over 560,000 business supply points nationally, was recognised in the Growth category while founder and chief executive, John Reynolds OBE, was also individually honoured as Entrepreneur of the Year.
Mr Reynolds said:
This is a huge honour. Winning the title of ‘Business of the Year 2018’ is a tremendous accolade. We were in excellent company with very high-calibre candidates for all three awards, so this has all come completely unexpectedly. Everyone at Castle Water is delighted. There has been a huge amount of commitment, hard work and achievement by everyone in the company over the past four years and it’s important that people in the company are recognised for that.
He continued:
Winning awards like this is useful on many levels. As well as recognition for everyone working at Castle Water, it helps with recruitment and helps more people to hear about us. We would like to thank everyone involved. There is always a real buzz about our offices and this has increased significantly. These awards will take pride of place and help us to grow the business even further. We have big plans for the next twelve months as we look to continue to expand our business across the country, with some significant growth plans in place.
