The Chamber Business Awards, hosted by the British Chambers of Commerce, is a staple in the calendar of businesses and organisations across the UK. The event recognises and promotes the best of British business through a series of regional and national heats.
A new category for 2022, the Rapid Riser Award credits the achievements of an outstanding ‘Scale up Business of the Year’ that has demonstrated exceptional levels of growth with a strong plan for sustainable financial performance.
Castle Water launched as a start-up in 2014 and has evolved to a 400 employee, £360M (2020/21) turn-over business in just 8 years, with 5 industry-shaping acquisitions along the way.
Commenting on its nomination of Castle Water for The Rapid Riser Award, Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce said, “We are delighted to nominate Castle Water for the Rapid Riser category of the British Chamber Awards. A strong organisation demonstrating exceptional levels of growth with a strong plan for sustainable financial performance.”
Castle Water has long-standing links with various Chambers across England and Scotland, as members of Ayrshire, Perthshire, Dundee and Angus, Chichester, Kent and Hampshire Chambers of Commerce.
Castle Water CEO, John Reynolds, said of the Chamber links, “Membership of the British Chambers of Commerce helped Castle Water pretty much from the start. The relationships it fosters with other local businesses has really helped find both suppliers and customers. Castle Water’s growth plans are even more exciting now, and we will continue to work with the British Chambers as we execute the next phase of our growth.”
Castle Water are no strangers to Chamber events as regular sponsors and supporters, including its most recent sponsorship of the Future Skills Award at the Dundee and Angus Chamber of Commerce Business Champion Awards, and hosting of various Water Sustainability webinars for Chamber members. The company has welcomed its own share of success with 5 Chamber awards under its belt including winner of the Customer Service Excellence Award at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star Awards in 2021.
Hugh Brown, Sales Director for Castle Water Scotland said, “We value our British Chambers of Commerce memberships and have done and will continue to do significant business with fellow Chamber businesses the length and breadth of the country. Wherever possible, we try to reciprocate and have built many strong and long-standing relationships through Chamber meetings and events.”
All Chamber Business Award nominations will be assessed by an independent panel, with regional winners set to be announced at the end of September. Once this stage is complete the national winners will be announced mid-October, with the overall ‘Winner of Winners’ to be revealed at the closing of the London Stock Exchange on Thursday 1 December.
