Children are often the hardest hit during an emergency or humanitarian disaster. By supporting flexible emergency funds, Castle Water has already helped Save the Children’s Emergency Fund reach over 2.2 million people since July 2017 with lifesaving aid including: water supplies, wash and sanitation facilities to stop the spread of deadly diseases and ensuring that children have access to clean drinking water during and after an emergency.
Save the Children’s Emergency Fund reaches the most vulnerable children caught up in natural disasters and protects them during a crisis and continues to help them to re-build their lives long after an emergency has passed.
John Reynolds OBE, Castle Water CEO and long-standing supporter of Save the Children, said: “Castle Water is delighted to confirm the renewal of our partnership with Save the Children and a new three-year deal which will help communities at home and abroad when they are impacted in an emergency. Children are typically the hardest hit during a humanitarian disaster. In supporting Save the Children’s Emergency Fund, Castle Water will help the charity to act fast to save children’s lives with the delivery of safe, clean drinking water.
“Our collaboration with Save the Children will not only help deliver much-needed funds, but will also engage with new audiences, provide opportunities to inspire people to support Save the Children and to help to deliver lasting change.”
Sayyeda Salam, Save the Children’s Director of Partnerships and Philanthropy, said: “We’re extremely grateful to Castle Water for their generous support of our much-needed Emergency Fund. By supporting flexible emergency funds, Castle Water has already helped Save the Children’s Emergency Fund reach over 2.2 million people since July 2017 with lifesaving aid. Castle Water’s continued commitment will enable us to respond as soon as an emergency strikes, providing children with safe, clean water and the care they and their families need. It is through partnerships like this that we can make the biggest impact for the world’s most vulnerable children and ultimately save lives.”
